Humble beginnings....
Early in 1985 Jerry Stehman got a tip there was a sporting goods business for sale. The business was basically bankrupt and completely rundown, but Jerry did his research and decided to purchase it. At the time, Jerry sold a variety of sporting goods equipment but Jerry wanted to find a niche "so I made a commitment to the shooting sports industry..." and he never looked back.
Jerry's Outdoor Sports would stay in that run down old gas station for 4 more years. Next they moved to where the Frame Depot is now over by Sam's Club (long before it was Sam's Club) for another 7 years, gradually and continually accumulating loyal customers and friends along the way. Then they moved into the 4600 square foot corner of the little strip mall at 30 road and the business loop where they lasted 16 years.
